Acknowledgements

This database includes direct quotes and references to a number of public international law documents authored by international and regional organizations. In all cases, The Carter Center has tried to provide appropriate attribution to each organization. Each organization with source documents included here has been solicited for express permission for the use of their respective documents and all efforts have been made to appropriately follow up to attain this permission. In any case where attribution is incorrect or inclusion is against the wishes of the author, The Center will take immediate action to correct this error upon notification.

The Center thanks the organizations that have supported and participated in this collaborative effort. In addition, the Carter Center is also extremely grateful to the Canadian International Agency for Development and Irish Agency for International Development of their support of our efforts to create this interactive database and the larger Carter Center initiative to determine criteria for democratic elections in public international law.
