The Ambassadors Circle was founded by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter in 1997 to honor the vision and generosity of individuals who support the Center's operations and programs with unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more annually.

Ambassadors Circle members play a critical role in helping the Center wage peace, fight disease, and build hope.  Members enjoy a unique relationship with the Center and receive an invitation to an exclusive Executive Briefing and Presidential Reception, which includes first-hand reports from our senior experts about the Center's programs.  In addition, President and Mrs. Carter thank members in person for the work they make possible.

Your membership gift will make a direct impact as The Carter Center moves forward on a growing list of urgent global priorities. Whether you choose to join at the Emissary, Envoy, Diplomat, or Cabinet level, your generosity will enable us to take action immediately to help people build healthier, more peaceful futures for themselves and their children.

2013 Annual Executive Briefing and Visit to Plains

Ambassador Circle members celebrate the Center's 30th anniversary.

The 2013 event will include the Executive Briefing and Presidential Reception on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, at The Carter Center in Atlanta.  On Saturday, April 20, we will travel to Plains, Ga., for a weekend visit, and return to Atlanta on Sunday, April 21.

Ambassadors and Legacy Circle members may choose to travel to Plains, Ga., to get to know the Carters in their hometown.

Upcoming Events for Ambassador Circle Members
As an Ambassador Circle member, you have access to special events at the Center. On Sept. 11 we will kick off this season of "Conversations at the Carter Center." At the event, Presidend and Mrs. Carter will speak about 30 years of waging peace, fighting disease, and building hope at The Carter Center.

As a special benefit to Ambassador Circle members, you are invited to attend a pre-conversation reception where Carter Center experts will discuss the recent elections in Egypt and subsequent developments in the country. Additionally, we will unveil the new 30th anniversary commemorative book filled with pictures and stories from the field. Ambassador Circle members at the reception will receive a copy. The cost to attend this event is $50. Ambassadors Circle members are encouraged to visit us in Atlanta.  With a simple call, you can schedule a tour of the Center.  Please encourage your friends and family in the area to do the same.
