46. CULTURAL REVOLUTION CHINESE POSTERS (x 3)

These original stylized and framed posters from the 1970s were donated to The Carter Center by former missionary Camille Anders. They are handsomely framed and reflect the cultural and political changes of China.

The poster measures 20½ x 30 inches.

b. Spring Farming – The entire village turns out to weed and clear rocks after the spring planting. Poster measures 20½ x 30 inches.

c. An Earnest Server on a Train to Help Out Passengers – A woman serving tea stops to mend a child’s jacket while his family and others look on approvingly as the train continues toward its destination. The red notebook on the train wall is a “suggestion box” for how to improve the train. The box containing thread and medicine and other potential needs reads “Service for the People.” The child holds a simple storybook along with his toy rifle.
