Mental Health and Katrina: Center Expert Featured on Infinite Mind,
Deployed to Assist Evacuees

Carter Center Mental Health Program Director Dr. Thom Bornemann joins "The Infinite Mind" radio program this week to discuss the traumatic after-effects of Hurricane Katrina. In addition, Bornemann - director of the Center's Mental Health Program since 2002 - was named to a special disaster assistance team organized by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and was deployed September 12 to Houston to provide urgently needed support to those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
