Normalizing relations with China was one of the most important decisions for former U.S. President Jimmy Carter during his administration. This discussion on the history, present, and future of the relationship between these two great nations is moderated by Carter Center Vice President for Peace Programs John Stremlau.  Panelists include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter; Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Madam Li Xiaolin;  Emory University distinguished visiting professor of China studies Mary Brown Bullock;  and Carter Center China Program Director Yawei Liu.
