Foul Water Fiery Serpent (Film Trailer)View the 3-minute trailer of a new documentary feature film that follows dedicated health workers engaged in the final battles of the international campaign to eradicate Guinea worm disease from Africa. Filmed from 2006-09, the documentary follows Carter Center health workers in poor, remote villages in Ghana and Sudan. By early 2011, Sudan harbored most of the 1,800 cases of the disease remaining worldwide, but Ghana was expected to soon declare the end of transmission of this parasitic disease.
