As Liberia makes history as the first West African country to enact a comprehensive freedom of information law, The Carter Center is working with civil society organizations and government agencies to further an open society, support government accountability and transparency, and encourage Liberians to exercise their new right. In this video, Liberians give insight into why the right to access information is so important in this fragile democracy.
