Statement From The Carter Center on Earthquake in Chile

President and Mrs. Carter and the staff of The Carter Center express our deep sympathy for those affected by the earthquake in Chile. The Carter Center has had a long partnership with many Chileans from the private sector as well as government officials in our efforts to strengthen democracy and hemispheric relations. Our hopes and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones, and those forced to reconstruct their lives.
