Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter will discuss The Carter Center's 25 years of humanitarian work to open the 2007-2008 season of Conversations at The Carter Center Sept. 18, 2007, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. EST. Carter Center President and CEO John Hardman will moderate the discussion, which will also include a look at current initiatives. Questions from the audience, and from webcast viewers, will be taken. Submit question now.
The annual speaker series features panel discussions of current world topics and Carter Center work. This season of Conversations will also include an examination of human rights with President Carter and Ambassador Andrew Young, a look at the effects of increased U.S. government secrecy, the rise of China, and grassroots healthcare work in Africa.
