Data Analyst, River Blindness, Lymphatic Filariasis, Schistosomiasis, and Malaria Programs

Hannah Lawinger joined The Carter Center in February 2025. She provides data management and analysis expertise and technical support related to program activities.

Prior to joining The Carter Center, Lawinger worked at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Waterborne Diseases Prevention Branch as an epidemiologist, where she conducted waterborne disease outbreak surveillance for the National Outbreak Reporting System. Lawinger received her Master of Public Health degree in global health, concentrating in infectious diseases and obtaining a WASH certificate, from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in 2020. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in 2016.
