A Pioneer for Public Health: Celebrating the Legacy of Former President Jimmy Carter

Dr. Kashef Ijaz, VP of the Carter Center’s health programs, and Dr. Rochelle Walensky, former CDC director and a Carter Center board member, joined Dr. Mati Hlatshwayo Davis of the Infectious Disease Society of America to discuss former U.S. President Jimmy Carter’s work addressing neglected tropical diseases and the value of public advocacy and political support to defeat these diseases.
