Lauren Gay

Lauren Gay serves as Corporate Secretary, an officer of the Board of Trustees, and oversees President and Mrs. Carter’s intellectual property, including name and image use. Ms. Gay is the Carter family liaison, having begun her career at the Center in July 2001 as Special Assistant to President Carter in the Office of Jimmy Carter. Ms. Gay has received certificates in Compassionate Leadership and Resilience in Global Health, as well as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace. An Atlanta native, she holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Oglethorpe University. An avid reader, writer, and gardener, Ms. Gay resides in Tucker, Georgia, with her wife and daughter.
