Who Will Govern Gaza? Women Are Missing from the Emerging Transition

Carol Daniel-Kasbari, senior associate director of the Carter Center’s Conflict Resolution Program, argues that women are largely excluded from the institutions being designed to govern Gaza’s postwar transition. She contends that meaningful participation by women in governance, security, property rights, reconstruction, and accountability decisions is essential to building a legitimate, inclusive, and sustainable political future for Gaza.
