Carter Center Weekend: Donor Retreat and Auction

Date: June 27 – July 1, 2018
Location: Skamania Lodge, Stevenson, WA

Join President and Mrs. Carter for five fun-filled and informative days at the Skamania Lodge overlooking the Columbia River Gorge and learn more about the vision and work of The Carter Center.

Carter Center Weekend features live and silent auctions of unique items and Carter memorabilia, program updates from Carter Center staff, group excursions and activities, and interaction with the Center's founders — former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

There will be something for everyone. Special features this year include:

  • A town hall meeting with President and Mrs. Carter.
  • Two planned excursions to experience the breathtaking views and natural abundance of the Columbia River Gorge.
  • Briefings on Carter Center programs.
  • A review of a major policy issue from the Carter-Mondale administration.
  • Time for individuals and families to enjoy leisure activities on their own, such as golf, hiking, biking, rafting, wind surfing, fishing, and endless exploration around the gorge and the magnificent Red Bluffs, which were created 200 years ago during a landslide and tower above the 175-acre property.
