Welcome
Welcome to the 2026 Carter Center Weekend! This annual affair is an exciting opportunity to enjoy the company of people who share the Center’s commitment to global peace and health. The 2026 event will be held June 18-21, 2026, on the beautiful grounds of The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
For more than 30 years, the Carters cherished spending these few days a year with this select group of friends. The gift of this weekend continues for family members who, like so many attendees, say the weekend feels like a family reunion. We always look forward to welcoming new faces and visiting with our longtime friends and supporters.
Attendees will enjoy engaging presentations on peace and health topics relevant to today’s world, while also being treated to the excitement and relaxation offered by The Broadmoor’s majestic red rock landscape, renowned golf courses, luxury spa, and impressive art collection. This getaway will be both enriching and memorable.
Jason Carter, chair of the Carter Center Board of Trustees, and Carter Center CEO Paige Alexander thank you for your support! Proceeds from this event will benefit the Center’s ongoing efforts to wage peace, fight disease, and build hope around the world.
Guest and Donor Resources
About the Broadmoor
The Broadmoor, nestled on the southern edge of the rugged and expansive Rocky Mountains in the Cheyenne Mountain foothills of Colorado Springs, was established in 1918 by Julie and Spencer Penrose. Their legacy continues, blending timeless European elegance with modern-day, well-appointed buildings and facilities.
There are dozens of activities available to guests at The Broadmoor beyond the excursions included over Carter Center Weekend. Choose from the Forbes Five-Star spa to two world-renowned golf courses, retail shopping, or an array of outdoor adventures offered by Broadmoor Outfitters. These activities, plus others, are available with reservations and incur a fee not covered by the event package.
For more information, visit these links: https://www.broadmoor.com/activities and https://www.broadmoor.com/adventures.
Guests flying to join us will typically arrive at the Colorado Springs Airport (COS), which is approximately 11.5 miles or 19 minutes from The Broadmoor. The Denver International Airport (DEN) is another option, located 75 miles away or a 90-minute drive from the resort.

Cost
The weekend event package cost of $3,750 per person covers all the above. Suites are available at an additional cost.
For children 5-12 years of age, the cost is $2,500 per child if they stay in the room with a full-price guest. There is no cost for younger children to attend, but they must be registered. There will be air transportation costs for children ages 2 and up, as airlines require a seat for them.
For flights coordinated by The Carter Center, Delta Air Lines will be given priority. The package cost covers economy-fare tickets on the most direct route available. Flights with special routing or upgrades may incur additional costs.
For stays of one or two days on Thursday and Friday, a rate of $1,200 per person per day is available. Saturday-only attendance is limited and available at a cost of $1,600 per person. These rates include an overnight stay, meals, activities for the day, and transportation to and from the airport, but not airfare.
Deposit and Timetable
A deposit of $1,000 per person will hold your place. Deposits arriving by February 14, 2026, qualify for a $100 discount off the package price. Six weeks prior to the event, an invoice for the balance due will be sent.
Please register early, as space is limited. We will accept reservations on a first-come, first-served basis with a paid deposit until the event is full. Registration will close when capacity is reached, regardless of date, and a waiting list will be created. Those on the list will be notified as space becomes available.
Tax Deduction
$1,000 of each full-price ($3,750) package is considered a tax-deductible donation to The Carter Center. For the day rate, $250 per day is tax-deductible. Appropriate documentation will be provided after the event.
