Celebrate The Carter Center by Joining the 44-mile Walk Challenge

This June, The Carter Center invites you to join a fun, health-conscious fundraiser that supports our mission to wage peace, fight disease, and build hope around the world.

Former U.S President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter founded The Carter Center 44 years ago with a mission to wage peace, fight disease, and build hope across the world. To celebrate their vision, we’re challenging you to walk 44 miles during June and raise money by asking your friends and family to support your effort.

Open to all levels of ability, you can complete this challenge in your own way and at your own pace, all while raising money to continue the Carter Center’s proven strategies to advance human rights and alleviate suffering.

Last year, more than 12,000 people participated in our virtual walk challenges, raising nearly $300,000 through peer-to-peer fundraising. This year, we’re aiming even higher — and we need your help to get there.

Here’s how to get involved:

Every step you take and every dollar you raise will help The Carter Center continue its work in more than 90 countries. This June, make your miles matter!
