Sudan Is a Good Place to Wage Peace

Ben Spears, Associate Director of the Conflict Resolution Program, recently wrote a letter to the editor about Sudan. While the country is often portrayed primarily through the lens of conflict, he emphasizes Sudan’s long history of peacebuilding. He also highlights Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter’s successful negotiation of a humanitarian cease-fire during the Second Sudanese Civil War.
