Director, Development Operations and Stewardship

Philip Adolwa serves as director of development operations and stewardship at The Carter Center, where he oversees systems and processes that support fundraising and donor engagement. With extensive experience in operational strategy and data-driven solutions, Adolwa ensures that development initiatives run efficiently and align with the Center’s mission. His work focuses on optimizing workflows, enhancing donor stewardship practices, and leveraging technology to strengthen organizational impact. Before joining The Carter Center, Adolwa held leadership roles in nonprofit development operations with The Trevor Project, World Vision, and CARE, where he implemented innovative approaches to improve constituent engagement, resource management, and compliance and reporting. He is passionate about building sustainable systems that empower teams and foster transparency in philanthropic efforts. He is a certified project manager and holds a bachelor’s degree from Egerton University in Kenya and a master’s degree from Georgia State University.
