Ireland
In 2021, Dublin was one of the first 12 cities to join the Carter Center’s Inform Women, Transform Lives global campaign to raise awareness about women’s right to information. As each city tailors the project to local needs, Dublin focuses on fitness programs in a community that is home to many immigrants and marginalized communities.
Impact
- The project promotes healthy activities—ranging from walking groups and dance classes to Gaelic football sessions—to encourage social inclusion and empowerment.
- When immigrants and other marginalized groups have access to information and fully understand their rights, communities are more peaceful and inclusive.
