Depression and anxiety tend to peak as the holidaysapproach - either because of the stress of the season or simply the weather,with seasonal affective disorder brought on by darker, gloomier days. A newreview of previous studies finds that depression and anxiety exact an enormoustoll on U.S.businesses. Lead researcher Alan Langlieb of JohnsHopkins University of School of Medicine tells WBHM'sTanya Ott that the yearly cost of depression andanxiety can easily exceed $145 billion.
