Kenya Casey

Vice President, Overseas Operations

Kenya Casey manages all aspects of Overseas Operations for the Carter Center's Health and Peace Programs. 

With over 20 years of international work experience, Casey has had a mission-driven global career that has afforded her opportunities to support public health and international education programs extensively around the world. Her experience includes serving as the inaugural deputy chief operations officer for the Task Force for Global Health, where she provided strategic business and operational support to the organization and its programs.

Prior to her work at the Task Force, Casey was the inaugural director of global safety and security at Emory University, where she focused on enhancing support for the health, safety, and security of students and employees during international travel. She previously served for seven years as senior associate director of Overseas Operations for the Carter Center’s Health Programs, managing daily operations and overseeing five program areas.

Casey earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clark Atlanta University and a master’s degree in social work from Howard University. Her international work also includes working for two years in Jamaica on an adolescent reproductive health project involving the U.S., Nigeria, and Jamaica. She is a recipient of the Fulbright Korea International Educators Administrators program and is a certified workplace mindfulness facilitator.
